Art was never left behind, it was waiting to be found again.
About Claire Park
Claire Park is a contemporary abstract artist based in California, creating work that explores light, color, and emotional depth through subtle gradients and atmospheric compositions.
Born in Korea, Claire began her artistic journey through the intensive fine art entrance exam preparation system, studying drawing and visual arts throughout middle and high school. During these formative years, she developed a strong technical foundation and discipline that continue to shape her work today. After moving to the United States, she initially pursued a career as a jewelry designer, studying Jewelry Design at FIDM. Although she built a path in design, she found it impossible to let go of painting — the medium that had always felt closest to her inner voice.
She eventually stepped away from jewelry and spent many years working as a graphic designer, balancing creativity with practicality. Yet the desire to grow her inner artistic world never faded. Unable to fully leave the digital space behind, Claire attended Gnomon School of Visual Effects, where she expanded her technical knowledge while continuing to search for a deeper personal expression.
During this time, her focus gradually shifted inward. What began as technical exploration slowly evolved into a more personal artistic practice, leading her back to painting and self-expression. Drawing from both her traditional art training and years of digital experience, Claire decided to begin building her own art practice — combining painting, design, and technology into a new creative direction.
Her art business began not as a brand, but as a way to survive during a period of transition. Over time, it became something far more personal — a space to rediscover her voice. With a lasting passion for painting and a strong urge to express emotion and inner experience, Claire began working as an abstract artist, using color, movement, and minimal form to communicate what words cannot.
Today, her work reflects a balance between structure and feeling — shaped by her multicultural background, years of design experience, and a continuous exploration of identity, resilience, and quiet transformation.
Through my work, I hope we can learn to look at life a little more gently, together.
